Elephant grooves to Rajinikanth’s ’Kaavaalaa’ song, but there’s a twist, Watch

March 02, 2024: Playful animal videos are always soothing to watch and nothing like it if the clip involves the gentle giants – elephants. From taking a shower to playing cricket, these tuskers can literally do everything and the internet has proofs. A similar video of an elephant dancing no less than a human has surfaced online but it has a twist.

 

People were amazed to see the elephant’s perfect moves. What made the event more interesting was that the elephant was grooving to the popular Rajinikanth song ‘Kaavaalaa’ from the film Jailer. However, with a closer look, it was soon figured that it wasn’t really a real elephant. It was a person dressed in an elephant costume, who was shaking a leg to the peppy track.

The clip was posted with a short and simple caption, “Kavalaya.” The footage shows the mascot delivering a well-choreographed performance and dancing his heart out. He can also be seen surrounded by a curious audience.

No wonder the captivating video from Kerala has taken the internet by storm. Social media users were quick to react to the entertaining act. A user said, “Ooohhh my gawdddd.”

While some tagged the matter as “Animal abuse” without realising it wasn’t a real elephant, others lightheartedly noted, “Complete silence for people who are believing that elephants could groove like this!! Without paying attention or putting their brains into it, they’d start talking about animal abuse!”

A person also appreciated the costume and noted, “Nice costume dude.” “You dance too good,” a comment read while another chimed in and asked, “Although it’s not real but it’s cute. Isn’t it?”

The video was also shared on Reddit with a caption, “Nammadey aaana inganeyalaaaa (Our elephant is not like this).”

Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Rajinikanth starrer Jailer released in August 2023. Apart from the south superstar, the song ‘Kaavaalaa’ also featured Tamannaah Bhatia. The quirky song gained a lot of popularity soon after its release and was used in several viral reels.
