Feb 04, 2017: A pet owner says he was left stunned when his cat gave birth to a kitten with two heads and three eyes.

 

Cat lover Xiao Wei claims the animal is alive and well, but he’s not sure how long it will survive.

The kitten can apparently eat with the rest of its siblings from the same litter but only out of one of her two mouths.

In this bizarre footage the kitten’s left tongue can briefly be seen moving but otherwise it’s completely motionless.

Xiao, from Shenyang City, capital of north-eastern China’s Liaoning Province, is a self-professed cat lover who has several of the felines in his home.

 

And having seen many of his pets give birth before, he was not expecting to welcome the two-headed kitty into his family.

The two-year-old mother cat, whose breed was not specified, gave birth to five kittens and the oddly formed newborn was immediately recognisable.

Xiao Wei live-streamed it on to Chinese social media.

Social media users on China’s Twitter-like platform Sina Weibo were relieved to hear the cat was able to eat and hoped that means it has a good chance of reaching adulthood.
