Urvashi effortlessly carried the bold and vibrant hue, capturing the attention of the photographers and fashion enthusiasts alike. In her Instagram caption, the 30-year-old actor wrote, “Festival de Cannes 2024 OPENING CEREMONY with my ultimate fav MERYL STREEP.”
The Love Dose actor is not new to the Cannes Film Festival. She first made her Cannes debut in 2022 when she attended the festival for the poster launch of her Tamil debut film, The Legend. Next year, she returned to the festival and was seen attending the premiere of Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.
Last year, Urvashi Rautela courted controversy after Arundhati De-Sheth, a popular private jewellery shopping consultant, called her out for wearing a replica of the iconic “alligator necklace” by Cartier, which was specially made in 1975 for Mexican actress María Félix.
Urvashi Rautela’s team did not clarify if the necklace was fake or real. While speaking to Brut India, Rautela dismissed the critics and implied that the necklace was real. She said, “I wasn’t aware of this, but I got to know that it was worn by Monica Bellucci back in 2006 at Cannes. I had absolutely no idea about it.”
Urvashi Rautela was last seen alongside Akhil Akkineni in Agent. The movie was helmed by Surender Reddy and was adapted from a story written by Vakkantham Vamsi. Produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara and shot in Budapest, the film released on 28 April 2023. The film bombed at the box office. Later, one of the producers of the film, Anil Sunkara, took the blame for the film’s rejection by audiences and critics.
