Varsity to announce results of all degree courses by June 5

Mangalore, May 26, 2012 : T. C. Shivashankar Murthy, vice chancellor of Mangalore University, said that the results of all degree courses will be announced by June 5, adding that the university is declaring results in May for the first time in its history.

Mangalore University announced results of the even semesters of six degree courses just 12 days after the exams, which were conducted in 197 of its constituent and affiliated colleges. A total of 83,712 students answered the exams, which were held for 19 streams between April 9 and May 10. The results were announced on May 22.

On Tuesday, the university published the results of BA (HRD), BCA, BSW, BSc (garment design), BSc (dietetics and food nutrition), and bachelor of speech language pathology and audiology on www.mangaloreuniversity.ac.in, its official website.

On May 23, the results of LIB were announced. The university will publish the results of BBM today.

P. S. Yadapadithaya, registrar for evaluation, told reporters that the university could set a new record because of its computerized result processing system. He also said that the university can now hold exams and announce results on time because the academic calendar is in order.

All the 28,004 BCom papers were valued by Thursday, and the university will announce the results before May 31. Mr. Yadapadithaya said that the university would like to announce the results as early as May 28, but might not be able to do so because valuing and tabulating BCom and BBM papers is a huge task.
