Udupi Kannada Prabha office attacked, constables injured

Udupi, Mar 4: Mahesh Mandarti and Raviraj Kottara, two police constables, were seriously injured when a couple of unidentified miscreants tossed a kerosene bomb into the premises of the building that houses the office of Kannada Prabha in the early morning of Wedesday. 

Udupi police sources have revealed that the two police constables were on duty at the newspaper office, which was located on the first floor of Unity Complex near Gitanjali Theatre. 

On Wednesday, at 1:30 a.m., two unidentified miscreants arrived on motorcycle. They threatened the constables who questioned them, after which they tossed a kerosene bomb at the constables and fled.

PC Mandarti’s hands were severely burned. Mr. Kottar also sustained severe injuries. The two are now taking treatment in a private hospital.
