UDUPI, Aug 18, 2014:  According to the police, A fisherman drowned after he slipped from the boat while fishing off Malpe shore.  the deceased IS identified as Suresh Kotian, aged 50. He had lost balance on boat, and fell into the water. A case has been registered in Malpe police station.

In another incident, a man drowned after he fell into the river while fishing in Tarapathi Paduvari village in Byndoor on Sunday. The deceased is Krishna Kharvi, aged 28. He accidentally fell into the river that is flowing in Tarapathi Paduvari village while catching fish. A case has been registered in Byndoor police station.
