Trends in service sector forms base at ’Rendition-17’ in city

Mangaluru, Oct 15, 2017: A National Level Paper Presentation Contest and Productive Dialogue  Competition ’ Rendition-17’, was held by the Department of Business Administration at St Joseph  Engineering College – Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, October 12, Thursday- the theme ’Emerging  Trends in Service Sector."

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest –Dr Devraj K, Director, SDM P.G. Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru. Dr Devraj K in his inspiring  address remarked that managing knowledge has more relevance in today’s business world than merely possessing it. He encouraged the students to face challenges which make a difference in life. The desire to succeed should be stronger than the fear of failure.

Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza addressed the gathering on the prominence of service sector in India. Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, Principal, SJEC, stressed on the importance of scanning through business journals and newspapers to develop the interest in learning and acquiring more
knowledge.

On the day, over 33 teams from various parts of the region took part in the event. Rev. Fr Rohith D’Costa, Assistant Director, SJEC, presided over the valedictory ceremony and gave away the prizes, Arwin Fernandes, student coordinator expressed gratitude.
