Mangalore Feb 25: American Library of US consulate general exhibition, co-sponsored by Mangalore University Library and the University College Library, has been inaugurated by K K Acharya, acting vice chancellor, Mangalore University at Ravindra kalabhavana, Mangalore on February 24.

 

 

Speaking after launching the exhibition, K K Achary said that the Information and knowledge are the foundations for any civilization. The art of writing is an age-old practice. It is very important that the knowledge is bestowed on the generation next, he said. 

 

On the occasion, College principal professor Lakshminarayan Bhat and Ragini Gupta of American Library, Chennai division were present.

 

The two day traveling exhibition will show case a presentations on the resources and services of the American Library along with a book exhibition and video corner. It also Exhibits on Abraham Lincoln – a portrait of a president and Journeys toward Freedom”, about Martin Luther King provides the back drop for the event.
