Train exhibition to be held in Mangalore Central on February 21, 22




Mangalore Feb 18: In commemoration of Centenary Celebrations in India, Southern Railway will run an Exhibition on Wheels titled ‘Indian Scouting Centenary Express’ between February 18 and February 22.

Sitaram Sinku, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Palakkad, will inaugurate the exhibition at Shornur in Kerala at 9 am.


The Exhibition Train comprises of three coaches. One coach displays materials pertaining to Southern Railway Heritage and other two coaches display posters and literature on Scouting and Guiding as well as models and Handicrafts made by Scouts and Guides. The Exhibition trains have been already brought to  Palakkad railway Station. Shri E.Ahamed, Hon’ble Minister of state for Railways desires to move this Exhibition Train towards North Kerala.


The exhibition train will be kept for public visit at Mangalore Central for two days, February 21 and 22. Before this, exhibition will be showcased at Shornur on February 18, Kozhikode on February 19 and kannur on February 20.


The entry to visit this exhibition train is free and the public who come to see the exhibition need not take platform tickets. This exhibition train will be kept opened from 09.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs.
