Third season of GVOM to start in mid June

Mangalore, May 14, 2012 : Mangalore Cultural Association (MCA) is organizing the third season of the Gulf Voice of Mangalore (GVOM) in Qatar this June.

MCA will hold auditions on June 15, 2012 at Ashoka Hall, India Cultural Centre, Doha Qatar at 4:30 p.m. The association has invited talented Mangalorean singers who live and work in Doha Qatar to take part in and qualify for the semi finals of GVOM-3. However, those who hold visit visas cannot take part in this competition.

Any singer born in Mangalore on or before Oct 15, 1994, but residing in Qatar can participate in GVOM-3. MCA has given a deadline of June 10, 2012 for candidates to send their applications.

A local panel of judges will select six top male singers and six top female singers for the semi finals, which will be held in Doha on September 21, 2012 at Al Ghazal Club.

MCA will hold the grand finale of GVOM-3 in Qatar on Oct 19, 2012.
