Third place in customer satisfaction survey all India for Mangaluru airport

Mangaluru, oct 15, 2016: MIA, The Mangaluru International Airport has secured the first position in Southern Region airports and overall third position in India in the Customer Satisfaction Survey. J T Radhakrishna, Airport Director said Airports Authority of India (AAI) carries out customer satisfaction survey through an external agency at 52 airports owned by it. "Every six months, a survey is being carried out. Survey is mainly based on its performance, staff performance, facilities, cleanliness, infrastructure and airline/customs/Immigration/airport/security staff performance and so on with respect to passengers," he said.

The Customer Satisfaction Survey -Round -ll (July-December) 2016 was carried out at all 52 Airports out of which MIA overall customer satisfaction rating stood at 4.72 scale out of 5 point scale and stood in the third place compared to that of last year’s rating of 4.56 Round1 (Jan-June 2016) at All India level. On the top position is Chandigarh Airport with a rating of 4.86 followed by Raipur in the second position with a rating of 4.82 followed by Mangaluru and Udaipur in the third position with an equal rating of 4.72 respectively out of five point scale, Radhakrishna said
