Techie arrested for posting obscene morphed pictures of online friend

Mangalore, Mar 31: Kavoor police have arrested a techie in Heerapur, Kolkata on grounds of posting obscene morphed pictures of his online female friend, who is based in Kavoor. Sub Inspector of Kavoor police station, Mr. Ananthapadmanabha, arrested the techie at Heerapur and produced him in the Mangalore court. 

The victim was shocked to see the obscene pictures online and lodged a complaint at the Kavoor police station. She stated in her complaint that her face has been morphed with the female naked body of another picture and posted online. 

Gupta worked for a BPO belonging to a prestigious computer company. He had not only uploaded the morphed picture online, but had also sent an MMS of it to all his friends. Gupta (25) had contacted the girl over a social networking site and had sent her hundreds of messages. 

Armed with an arrest warrant from the DK judicial magistrate, SI Ananthapadmanabha and Inspector Valentine D’Souza ventured into Heerapur, a Naxal infested area. They sought the help of the local police and arrested Das Gupta, who was produced before the Mangalore court on March 30. Das Gupta has been sentenced to 14 days of judicial custody.
