Tanker hits Omni, discharged person hospitalized again

Mangalore, Feb 15: A person who was returning home by Omni car after being discharged from the hospital had to return to the hospital when a rashly driven tanker dashed into the Omni on the national highway at Adyar on Feb 15, Monday. 







Four members of a family were in the ill-fated Omni car. One of them was the person who had just been discharged from a private hospital in Mangalore. 

Channakeshava, the driver of the tanker, and his companion Veera were reportedly under the influence of alcohol. The Omni car was completely overturned owing to the impact and everybody inside it sustained minor injuries. 

Witnesses said that Chennakeshava was driving the tanker in a rash manner and lost control of his vehicle. The people of the locality caught the erring driver and his companion and handed them over to the police. 

Mangalore rural police have registered a case.
