Mangalore, Mar 7: Reliable sources have revealed that the Karnataka State Infrastructure Industries and Development Corporation (KSIIDC) will soon establish the Rs 3000 - crore Tadri Sea Port. 

KSIIDC Chairman Yogish Bhat informed reporters that the corporation has undertaken 23 infrastructure projects at the cost of Rs 30,000 crore. The SPV Tadri Sea Port project has been undertaken under the public-private partnership (PPP). 1,400 of the available plot of 1820 acres have been set aside for the establishment of a natural port. 

Mr. Bhat also said that 4 food parks are being constructed in Jevargi, Hiriyur, Malur, and Bagalkot. The Corporation intends to set up 6 more food parks in the state in Bangalore rural, Shimoga, Tumkur, Davanagere, Bijapur, and Belgaum under the PPP model. This will give food processing activities a boost, informed Mr. Bhat.
