Sharman Joshi spices up 48th IAP Annual Conference cultural event

Mangalore, Jan 24: The presence of Sharman Joshi, the Bollywood actor who played the role of Raju Rastogi in the latest blockbuster “3 Idiots,” was responsible for the grand success of a cultural event, which was organized at Pilikula on Jan 23, Saturday, on the 2nd day of the 48th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). 

More than 5,000 delegates and students extended a warm welcome to Sharman and his wife Prerana; Vinod Kambli, the former cricketer, and his wife Andrea; as well as Swaroop Sampat, wife of Paresh Rawal. The students rejoiced on getting an opportunity to spend a few cherished moments in the company of their favorite stars. 

Kambli, who had inaugurated the event on Saturday, entertained the students with his dance. His wife Andrea, who is a model, joined the fun. Even Prerana and Swaroop Sampat enjoyed the evening. 

Later, the celebrities judged the cultural competition, which was organized for the delegates. Twelve teams from all over India were selected for the finals of a dance competition that the audience thoroughly enjoyed. 

Sun City College of Pune was declared to be the winner of the competition. D Y Patil of Mumbai bagged the first runner-up prize; and SHG College of Baroda and KEM College of Mumbai were the second runners-up. 

The youthful crowd was entertained by Aasma, the celebrity musical band of Mumbai. 

Prof U T Iftikar Ali, the organizing secretary of the 48th IAP Annual Conference, and Dr. Ali Irani, the president of IAP, were also present.
