Sharan Rao emerges chess champion

Mangalore, Apr 12: Sharan Rao of Mangalore emerged as the Champion of the Karnataka State Under 11 Chess Championship 2010 held under the auspices of the South Kanara District Chess Association, held in Mangalore. 

Anantharam RU of Mangalore ranks second. Arjun Raj of Bangalore ranks third. 

In the girls section, Manasa H R became the champion; and Panchami Shenoy and Sharanya V became the first and second runners up. 

Sharan Rao, Anantharam, Manasa H R, and Panchami Shenoy will represent the state of Karnataka in the upcoming National Under 11 Chess Championship 2010.
