Seeliya Smith wins 3 gold medals in national skating competition

Mangalore, Jun 1, 2012 : Seeliya Smith of Mangalore, who represented Karnataka in the All India Skating Competition held in Ahmedabad, won 3 gold medals and an individual prize while Omkar Yograj won 2 gold medals and Avani Kumar won 1 bronze medal.

Seeliya Smith is a student of Lourdes Central School, Omkar Yograj is a student of Mount Carmel School, and Avani S. Kumar is a student of St. Theresa School.

All these achievers are members of the Mangalore Roller Skating Club. Mahesh Kumar, judge of the Roller Skating Federation and joint secretary of the Karnataka Roller Skating Organization, trains them.

Over 400 skaters from all over the country took part in this national-level competition, which was organized by the state government of Gujarath.
