SDM Ujire to host conference on career in media

Ujire, March 25: A two day state-level conference on ‘Careers in Media’ will be held by the PG students of Mass Communication and Journalism of SDM College Ujire, on March 26 and 27.

A press release here stated that, Balakrishna Holla, Editor, Udyavani news paper, will inaugurate the conference.

Mangalore University MCJ Department Chairman Prof G P Shivaram will address the students on career opportunities in academics. Doordarshan (Bangalore) Deputy Director Dr A Chandramouli will speak on electronic media while Deccan Herald Associate Editor K Subrahmanya will address the delegates on print media on the first day of the conference. 

On the second day, Aim High Consulting (Bangalore) Chief Executive Officer N Ravishankar will speak on opportunities in Public Relations while Creative Director of Saatchi and Saatchi (Bangalore) will speak on the opportunities in advertising field, the release added.

The two-day conference will focus on the career opportunities in print and electronic media, Public Relations, advertising and academics.
