SDM College students’ clash, 4 arrested

Mangalore, Jan 21: The Barke police have arrested 4 persons with regard to a clash between 2 groups of SDM College students on Jan 19, Tuesday. 

The arrested are Ashit Nonda, Sai Rakshit, Nishan Nonda, and Rahul. Ashit and Nishan are the students of SDM College, but the other two aren’t. The four have been produced in court and have been remanded to judicial custody for 4 days. 

Barke police have registered a case to the effect that Alfaj and Jeetu allegedly assaulted Shashikant Savadi, who is an SDM College student and son of Minister Lakshman Savadi. 

Reportedly, this is a post-election clash between a group supporting the victorious candidate and a group supporting the losing candidate.
