Prasaranga holds seminar on Kannada language

Mangalore, March 30: Prasaranga of Mangalore organized a seminar on Kannada language at Women’s Government College in Balmatta on March 29, Monday.

Dr. P N Mayya, lecturer of Kannada at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, said in his presidential address that Kannada is just as important as English because one needs it to communicate with the local people. Kannada can eliminate any impediments to communication, he added. 

Dr. Shripathi Kallooraya, the director of Prasaranga, welcomed the gathering. Dr U Thara Rao, the principal of Women’s Government College, and the students of the college were also present.
