Police intercept trucks illegally transporting cows to Kannur abattoir

Mangalore, Mar 31: The Pandeshwar police caught a load of cattle that was being illegally transported to an abattoir in Kerala. 

Police sources have revealed that 18 cows, stolen from different parts of Mangalore, were being transported to abattoirs in Kerala. Members of the Sangh Parivar had informed the police about the matter. 

Police sources revealed that two trucks loaded with cows were illegally transported to an abattoir belonging to Mr. Mohidden Cherimbika in Kannur, Kerala. 

Police have detained the cows, the drivers, as well as the trucks at the Pandeshwar police station.
