Photo Journalist Manju Neereshwallya’s Mother Passes Away

Mangalore, May 22, 2012: K. Shantheri Shenoy (Savithri), wife of Kaup Umesh Shenoy passed away on Monday 21st May at her residence at Thrupthi Apartments, Gandhinagar, Mannagudda, Mangalore following a bout of illness. She was aged 66 years. She is the mother of the well  known professional photographer and photo journalist Manju Neereshwallya (Manjunath Shenoy) of Studio XL, Car Street, Mangalore. Manju Neereshwallya is a contributing photographer for Mangalore Today and for many other newspapers and publications. Apart from him she is survived by her husband and two other sons, namely Srinath Shenoy and Srikanth Shenoy.

 

 

She had taken ill two months back and was discharged only recently from Yenepoya Hospital. Her health however failed to stabilize and she succumbed to her illness on Monday morning at 11:30 a.m.

Large number of relatives, family friends and well wishers visited her home to pay last respects and the funeral was performed at Boloor Crematorium on the same day at 5:00 p.m.

Her husband Kaup Umesh Shenoy is the Supervisor of Catering Services for Komals Group in the city. He also actively renders his voluntary services in the welfare activities of Sri Kashi Math Samsthan.
