Mangaluru, Apr 07, 2018: Nitte (Deemed to be University) has been ranked 77th and Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) 92nd in the in the National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF), 2018 rankings announced by the Union Ministry for Human Resources Development.
Both the deemed to be universities at Deralakatte have been ranked among the top 100 such universities in the country, according to a release. The rankings were announced on April 3.
In the latest ranking, the Nitte (Deemed to be University) has climbed six places from the previous ranking of 83. It has been placed 9th in the parameter of outreach and inclusiveness. In addition, Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, one of the constituent colleges of Nitte (Deemed to be University) has been placed 25th among pharmacy colleges of India with an all India ranking of 2nd in outreach and inclusiveness.
Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has been placed in the 19th position in the teaching and learning parameter. It has been placed in the 7th position in outreach and inclusiveness.
This year, Yenepoya Medical College also finds its place in the rank banding of 100–150 in overall ranking of institutions in the country by NIRF. The NIRF rankings consider performance in teaching, learning, research productivity, graduate outcomes, outreach, inclusiveness and peer perception.
