New Mangalore Airport terminal will start function from mid July: Abraham

Mangalore, June 19:  Peter Abraham, Director, Mangalore Airport, has said that the newly inaugurated Mangalore air port terminal will star its function from mid July.

Earlier, same air port authorities have announced that the operation of new Mangalore International Airport terminal would begin in the month of June. But the recent air crash at Kenjar area near Mangalore air port, which claimed the life of 158, has delayed the Shifting work of equipments. Entire equipments remained at the existing airport should be shifted to the new terminal, before the commencement of new terminal.

All the equipments, including furniture and electronic items, remained at the old airport to be shifted to new terminal very carefully. All the staffs from air port, owners of business establishments located inside the air port will sit together to prepare a plan and fix a day to begin shifting work, he said.
