Mangaluru, July 27, 2018: Mangaluru The first beauty pageant for married women—Mrs Mangalore— in coastal Karnataka will be organised by Mrs India Worldwide 2017, Soujanya Hegde.
Briefing media Hegde said that Mrs Mangalore is a movement aimed at providing married women with a platform to showcase their talent, leadership skills, and their confidence.
“We were happy with the positive response we received from Mangaloreans scattered all over the country. Unlike how the conventional beauty and pageant industry is perceived, Mrs Mangalore will go beyond the physical aspects and focus on their personality and their contribution towards being a productive member of the society,” she said.
Mrs Mangalore has collaborated with JCI Mangalore Lalbagh for community development activities of the participants.
“We will contribute a part of its proceeds to the Impact 2030 project of the JCI. The project includes Suraksha, installation of pad napkin burning machine and quality education, featuring scholarships and youth empowerment through skill development programmes,” said Hegde.
As a part of Mrs Mangalore, we have invited grooming, fitness and personality development industry experts to train contestants and polish their presentation skills.
The event will begin with auditions on August 4. Those interested can apply online: www.mrsmangalore.com or call 7996272821.
