Milestone Music Group presents spectacular musical performance

Mangalore, Feb 16: Milestone Music Group presented its first musical concert “Milestone Music Concert” at the Suratkal Church Grounds on Feb 14, 2010. The audience was huge and enthusiastic. The Section 144 imposed on Suratkal did not in the least dampen the spirits of the people who attended the show. 

Besides presenting the classic numbers of the great Konkani musicians of the 60s and 70s, Milestone Music Concert also presented the new generation music of Kevin Misquith. 

The performers on stage were Kevin Misquith, Stafny D’Souza, Sherin Walder, Shailesh Pereira, Melwyn, Prajwal D’Sa, Carol Monteiro, and Clelia D’Souza, who sang lively numbers such as “Chondrem Udevn Ailo,” “Ye Go Jacintha,” “Kantara,” “Raat Moni Moni,” “Juliana,” “Roslyn,” “Sayachi Rati,” “Kenna,” and “Ye Katrina.” 

Joseph Pinto and Jerry Rasquinha entertained the audience with their humorous performances. Ashwin Sequeira, Lionel Crasta, Sanjay Rodrigues, Floyd Periera, Joel, and Deepak accompanied the singers on guitar, keyboard, drums, and trumpets. 

Milestone Music Concert was followed by a formal programme in which Fr Lawrence Martis, parish priest of Mukka; Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas, the parish priest of Katipalla; Mr Dony Suares; and Mr. William Mascarenhas were given floral tributes. Later, Kevin expressed gratitude to everybody for rendering their help and support. 

The programme concluded by opening the dance floor to the audience. The master of ceremonies was Mr. Alwyn Dantis.
