Mangalore cops bag chief ministers gold medals

Mangalore, Apr 1: Six police officers—Panamboor Inspector Valentine D’Souza, Mangalore Rural Sub Inspector Prakash of Karnoor, Puttur—have bagged the chief minister’s gold medals. 

Sub Inspector Sunil Kumar of Bondel, who is also the superintendent of the police special investigation squad; police constables of District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) Adoor Chandra, Dinesh Bekal, and Chetan Botyadi have also been selected to receive this honor. 

Valentine D’Souza has been chosen for the honor in recognition of his ability to maintain law and order in Panamboor, Kavoor, and Bajpe with the help of subordinates and colleagues. 

The DCIB police have proved their abilities by arresting the accomplices of Rashid Malabari, Chota Shakeel, and Ravi Poojary, to mention a few. The SP’s special squad has investigated more than 18 cases, including the encounter with Sardar.
