Mangalore Photography Club organises Photography Workshop

Mangalore, Dec 7: Mangalore Photography Club organised a one day Photography Workshop on Sunday the 6th December 2009 at the Dist Small Industries Associations Hall, Yeyyadi Industrial Estate, Mangalore. A total of 33 people attended the workshop. The participants who attended the workshop were from all walks of life.

Rohit S. Rao of the Mangalore Photography club welcomed the participants and introduced the workshop details. Dr. Krishnamohan Prabhu, Rohit S.Rao and Dijaraj Nair were the resource persons.

The topics of the day included introduction to digital photography, handling the camera and the stance, history of photography, composition, photography concepts, lighting, focussing, basics of photography equipment - types, working and care, photography modes and understanding photography and basic post processing.

Later in the noon there was a session where each of the resource persons exhibited their work with specializations like Wildlife & Nature Photography, Portrait & Still Life Photography, Tabletop Photography, Macro or Close-up Photography etc.

The day ended with a discussion in open house session. The participants were keen to join the Mangalore Photography Club and also expressed their views on starting an online forum to discuss photography.

Mangalore Photography Clubs intends to have another advanced workshop in the near future.
