Mangalore, Oct 03, 2015: As per reports, fire was seen in the Petro Fluidised Catalytic Cracking (PFCC) unit of  MRPL - Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (Phase 3) Oct 2. It is stated that fire was put off within 30 minutes, according to an official press release. The release said the fire was noticed around 7.20 p.m. in the closed blowdown pit of the PFCC unit at MRPL. The fire was contained in the closed blowdown pit and was brought under control by MRPL fire fighting teams. The fire was put off by 7.50 p.m., the release said. There were no injuries to any of the person, and there is no danger as of now.
