M’luru based banks get ASSOCHAM awards

Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2018: Mangaluru headquartered Corporation Bank and Karnataka Bank have bagged ASSOCHAM SMEs Excellence awards in different categories during the sixth ASSOCHAM SMEs Excellence Award-2018 ceremony instituted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.

Corporation Bank bagged the Best MSME Bank-Winner 2018 Award and its deputy general manager Shivanand Hebbar received the award from Conrad K. Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, in Delhi.

The award was conferred on the bank based on its performance in SME segment — growth, targets, unique schemes and products offered to SMEs, technology use, efficiency in appraisal of SME proposals and creating awareness about MSME schemes, said a release from the bank.

The Karnataka Bank bagged the Excellence Award under Excellent Service (Private Sector) category. Its DGM, Delhi Regional Office, S. Ravichandran received the award from  Sangma, a release said.
