Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2018: Two-day literary convention, Jana Nudi, organised by Abhimatha, will be held in the city on December 1 and 2, Saturday and Sunday..
Former High Court of Karnataka judge H.N. Nagamohan Das will inaugurate it at Shanti Kirana, Nanthoor. Actor Prakash Raj will be among the guests at the inaugural session.
More than 500 persons have now registered as delegates, according to a release.
The sessions will begin in the afternoon on Dec 1, Saturday.
The topic for the first session will be “Future of India — Marx, Ambedkar, Gandhi and Lohia”. Writers G. Rajashekara, Purushottama Bilimale, D. Dominic and Muzaffar H. Assadi will deliver talks.
Journalist Adbussalam Puthige will speak on Indian Muslims later.
It will be followed by Gaja Mela of Koragas and a Beary Duff dance.
The second day’s session on Dec 2, Sunday will begin with a Kavi Gosti in which 20 poets will read out their poems.
Later, Mahendra Kumar, Sudhir Marolli and Niketraj Mourya will speak at a session titled “Horalu Nota”.
It will be followed by a session on Dalit Bharat. M. Narayana Swamy will preside over it. Ravikumar Telex and Pushpa Amaresh will speak on the topic.
The last session will be on Mahila Bharat. Writer H.S. Anupama will preside over it and Chaman Farzana and Soumya will speak on the topic.
Dinesh Ameen Mattu, Valerian Rodrigues, Mavalli Shankar and S. Varalakshmi will participate in the valedictory function.
