Mangalore, Jan 12: Konkanifriends.com celebrated its 5th anniversary in Samanvaya Conference Hall, Urwastores, on Jan 10, 2010. During the same occasion, the Konkanifriends Welfare Fund was launched by Mrs. Agnes Gladys Periera, the mother of Mr. Raj Francis Pereira, the chief editor of Konkanifriends.com. 

The chief guest of the occasion was Mr. Edwin M Netto, the Konkani writer, and Mr. John Monis, the editor of the Konkani weekly Dirvem. 

Mrs. Reshma Pereira, the wife of Mr. Raj Francis Pereira, was one of the dignitaries on the dais. 

Sr. Mabel and Sr. Reshma conducted the prayer session. Rev Dr. Ronald Cutinha, the director of Samanvaya, made the welcome speech. Mr. Raj Francis Pereira presided over the programme and expressed gratitude. Mr. Marcel D’Souza was the master of ceremonies.
