Kinnigoli organizations hold marathon to enhance awareness

Mangalore, Feb 28: Rotary Club, Rotaract Club, Lions Club, Pompei College, Aikala, NCC and NSS units of Pompei College, M R Punja ITI, Tapovana, Tokur, Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Ujwal Stree Sanghatan, and Catholic Sabha of Kinnigoli will jointly organize the Kinnigoli Marathon 2010 on Feb 28, Sunday, to create public awareness on nature and the importance of trees and plants.

The marathon will commence on the grounds of Kinnigoli Church at 8:00 a.m. and will end at the same spot at 12:00 noon. It will cover a distance of 7.5 kms and will take the Kinnigoli bus stand - Gutthakad - Damaskatte - Pompei College - Moorukaveri route.

The first and second prize winners will get an award of Rs 3,333 and Rs 2,222, respectively. There will be 3 consolations prizes of Rs 555 each.
