KSRTC Volvos to ply between Mangalore, Udupi soon

Mangalore March 2: If every thing works out according to plan, the commuters, who travel between Mangalore and Udupi, will travel in KSRTC Volvo busses ,very soon. 

‘The intricacy in introducing air conditioned KSRTC bus service between Mangalore and Udupi has been solved now said state transport minister R Ashok’ in Puttur. 

 

He was speaking after inaugurating Rs 1.80crore worth Regional transport office at Puttur. He said that the legal intricacy erected to start Volvo bus service between Mangalore and Udupi has been solved.  The KSRTC, which is having the investment nearly sixty thousand crore, has twenty five thousand KSRTC busses, he added.

 

The minister assured that the KSRTC will not only ply between Mangalore and Udupi, but also be extended its service upto Manipal, later. If every thing comes according to plan, the bus service will inaugurate with in 15 days. 

 

The test ride of KSRTC, yet to be conducted in first phase. And it is confirmed that, the two busses, as a test ride, will travel between the districts within two days. But the busses, which will carry passengers, yet not reached the city from Bangalore.
