Mangalore, April 13: An international cricket stadium will soon be constructed in Mangalore. Home Minister Dr. V S Acharya will lay the foundation stone for the stadium on April 14.

The state government had handed over four and a half acres of land in Bangra Kuloor to the Youth and Service Department. The Dakshina Kannada Cricket Association (DKCA) will soon convert it into a world class sports complex with indoor and outdoor games facilities. The project will be completed in 2 years.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) had been stressing the need for an international cricket stadium for a long time. After a number of years, Bangra Kuloor was finally chosen for the project of constructing a sophisticated international cricket stadium.
