Aug 16, 2019: The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated at St Theresa’s School, Bendur,August 15 Thursday. Mrs Cleta Lobo, the senior teacher of St Theresa’s School, was chief guest and hoisted the national flag. In her fitting message she stressed that “The opportunity today is a sea of excellence for the youth to build our country. Students from schools have a duty to the country to do their best and contribute to better life of fellowmen. Disturbance of nature has created alot of calamities as we see around us. Students can correct this by following good practices being taught and being sincere”
Samson Salins student of Class VIII infused the spirit of Patriotism through a motivating speech. Programme was held to mark to mark this special day and remember the freedom fighters of Mangaluru and their contributions.
The Principal Sr Philomene Saldanha, Vice Principal Sr Lourdes, parents, staff and students were dutifully present and showed their love for our great motherland - India. The students of offered special prayers for the flood victims of Karnataka and Kerala as a special gesture of concern and promised to work for the good of Independent India.
