Hand over missing lawyer case to CBI: Mangalore Bar Association

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, March 31: The Mangalore Bar Association has requested the state government to hand over the case of the mysterious disappearance of advocate Preetham Kumar to the CBI within 10 days.

The advocates submitted a memorandum to the chief minister of Karnataka via the deputy commission after a silent procession through the city on March 30, Tuesday. They accused the police department of neglecting the case although 3 months have passed since the young lawyer disappeared from his home.

They demanded that the case be handed over to the CBI since the police have quite clearly failed to do their duty and urged that the missing advocate be found as early as possible.

They said that they will intensify their protest at the state level if the government does not hand over the case to the CBI within 10 days.

Hundreds of members of the Mangalore Bar Association participated in this protest.
