Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2016: Reports indicate, a students of SDM Institute of Technology, Prithveesh, and his friends are aiming at Guinness World Record with their skill in creating colourful image using Rubik’s Cubes.  Prithveesh plans to set a new record by creating two different images by arranging 4,000 Rubik’s Cubes.

He is a final year Electronic Engineering student and will attempt to enter the Guinness World Record at Ujire on October 2.   He will create a vertical wall-like structure using 4,000 cubes. Each of the six faces of Rubik’s Cube has nine stickers comprising six colours --- white, red, blue, orange, green and yellow. The colours on each Rubik’s Cube will be set in an order to make two sides of the wall represent two different portraits.

Prithveesh has engaged himself in solving Rubik’s Cubes for the last three years. He has created a record by teaching Rubik’s Cubes to over 500 persons last year. He solves Rubik’s Cubes puzzle within 38 seconds.

A mosaic of 616 Rubik’s Cubes portraying the picture of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade was created as part of the preparation.  The images to be created on October 2 will be disclosed on that day only, a surprise. The SDM institute will bear the expenses for entering Guinness World Record.
