Graduation day celebrated at Yenepoya medical college

Mangalore, March 12: Yenepoya Medical college students celebrated its graduation day ‘Astium 2010 on Thursday, March 11.

Prof. P.K. Daway, Professor at National Academy of Medical Science and President of National Accreditation of Hospital Board applauded the Yenepoya medical college’s prominent role in teaching morality, empathy and caring. He suggested the students, who took the oath as ‘torch bearers’, to behave positively always. This will help to create good rapport between doctors and patients he added.

A bright future is in students hand now. All the students are also in right track but, only, hard work will make them to reach their destination said Abdulla Kunhi, Chancellor of Yenepoya University. He also advised the upcoming professionals and students to have empathy on the patients who come to them for assistance.

On the occasion, Dr. Pooja received the prestigious Zulaikha Memorial Award for ‘Best Out going Student’ and was honoured with gold medal. 

Vice-Chancellor of Yenepoya University, Syed Aqil Ahmed, Dr. Harish, Dr. Abdul Riyaz, Dr. Farooq Abdulla of Dept. Of Surgery and Dr. Fouzia, Specialist in Gynecology were honoured, during the ceremony.
