Mangaluru, Dec 08, 2016: According to official information the students of Golden Shuttle Academy in Mangaluru, won 25 trophies claiming the highest number of trophies at Mahesh PU College Golden Shuttle Cup 2016 in Mangaluru. The tournament saw a record number of entries of more than 500 across different categories.

South zone category:  Varsha Belawadi (Bengaluru) defeated Nischitha GM (Bengaluru) 21/16 21/13 in the women’s singles finals.

Varsha Belawadi and Nischitha GM (Bengaluru) defeated Sangeetha Mari and Divya (Bengaluru) 21/16 21/12 in the women’s doubles finals.

Daniel Farid (Bengaluru) defeated Raghu M (Bengaluru) 18/21 21/15 21/17 in the men’s singles finals. Riyaz and Sanjay Pai (Mangaluru) defeated Jayaram Pai and Manjunath (Bangalore) 21/11 21/18 in the men’s above 45+ doubles finals. Abhinnand and Sunil Gladson (Bengaluru) defeated Guruprasad and Srinath (Bengaluru) 21/11 21/18 in the men’s above 35+ doubles finals.

Nischitha G M and Sanjeeth (Bengaluru) defeated Abhinand and Sangeetha Mari (Bengaluru) 21/15 21/18 in the mixed doubles finals.

Vaibhav and Prakash (Bengaluru) defeated Neeraj and Bala Subramannian (Kerala) 21/19 21/15 in the men’s doubles finals.

Inter district events (Udupi and Dakshina Kannada Districts)  :  Pritish Salian (Mangaluru) defeated Benhur Jerome Veigas (Mangaluru) 11/21 21/16 21/17 in the U-13 boy’s singles finals.

Pritish Salian (Mangaluru) and Benhur Jerome Veigas (Mangaluru) defeated Sujay and Rishab 21/12 21/12 in the U-13 boys doubles finals. Anannya Joishy (GSA, Mangaluru) defeated Akansha Pai (Mangaluru) 21/14 21/16 in the U-13 girls singles finals.

Madhav Nayak (GSA, Mangaluru) defeated Aarush Patrao (GSA, Mangaluru) 21/16 21/13 in the U-15 boys singles finals. Prithvi (Mangaluru) and Gaurav Ajila (GSA, Mangaluru) defeated Aarush Patrao (GSA, Mangalore) and Madhav Nayak (GSA, Mangaluru) 21/18 21/18in the U-15 boys doubles finals.
