Flower and Fruits Exhibition to be inaugurated today

Mangalore, Feb 19: The annual Horticultural Fruits and Flower Exhibition will be held at Kadri Park in the city in association with the department of horticulture, Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat, district administration, City Corporation and Siri Horticultural Association between February 19 and February 23 at at Kadri Park, Mangalore.

A model of Mahaveera Circle, Pumpwel will be made exclusively by using roses and flowers said President of Siri Horticultural Association and zilla panchayat chief executive officer, P Shivashankar in a press meet held here on Thursday 18. They also prepare a Deva Mantpa, using stems of banana trees and flowers and coconut fronds, will be the main attraction of the event.

Vice presidents of Siri Horitultural Asociation, Lakshmi Rao Aroor, and deputy director of horticulture department, H N Hema, were present at the press conference.
