Fire in Tokyo Market, dress shop burns down

Mangalore, Feb 21: Sagar Dresses, located in Tokyo Market on GHS Road, caught fire on Feb 20, Saturday. Dresses and dress material were burned down causing heavy loss of Rs 2 lakh. Thanks to the timely intervention of the fire-fighting squad, the fire was doused before it could cause any further damage. 











The shop is located on the second floor of Tokyo Market. At 9:15 p.m., shortly after the establishment was closed down for the day, smoke was observed emerging from the shop. The fire was reportedly caused by a short circuit.
