District administration makes arrangements for peaceful SSLC examinations

Mangalore, March 29: The SSLC examinations have been scheduled to commence on April 1 and the DK district administration has ensured that the examination will be free of any untoward incidents. 

Mangalore revenue sub-division team will be headed by Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj. The Puttur revenue sub-division team will be headed by P Shivashankar, the executive officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat. Six more teams have been set up at block levels. 

The vigilance squads will ensure that the examination will be free of malpractices in the district. The DC has also imposed prohibitory orders within a radius of 200 meters of all examination centres from April 1, the day the examination commences, to April 9, the day the examination concludes. 

The staff and students are strictly prohibited from using mobile phones during the examinations. Nobody is allowed to communicate with the students appearing for the examinations on matters related to the examination within the restricted zone of 200 meters. The prohibitory orders, however, will not hinder the performance of official duties within the restricted zone.
