DCIB arrests Another Aide of Ravi Poojary

Mangalore, Feb 18: Another close associate of under world criminal Ravi Poojari, has been arrested by the District Crime Intelligence Bureau on February 17 from Attavara Katte, Mangalore. It is second time success of sleuths, who seized eight accomplice of Poojari, recently.

The arrested person has been identified as Avil Coelho from Udupi. The arrest was made on the ransom calls amounting to five crore rupees to two entrepreneurs from the city and also murder threat to them upon their refusal to oblige.

Avil was handling the financial dealings of Ravi Poojari in Mangalore and allotting money to business partners of Ravi Poojari on direction. The district crime bureau made a successful attempt by chasing Avil. Earlier, same police team has seized eight accomplice of Poojari. With the arrest of Avil, the number of arrested men in the case has gone up to nine

Meanwhile, sleuths are looking out for several other close associate of Ravi Poojari, who are engaged in ransom and threat calls.
