Corporation Bank bags SKOCH Challenger Award 2010

Mangalore, Mar 20: Shri N R Shet, the general manager of Corporation Bank, has issued a press release, which states that Corporation Bank has bagged the SKOCH Challenger Award 2010 for “Inclusion Champion of the Year.”

The award, which has been instituted by the SKOCH Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd., was received by Shri J M Garg, the chairman and managing director of the bank, at a summit held in New Delhi.

The SKOCH Challenger Award is the most widely acclaimed, independently instituted civilian award in India, conferred in recognition of the extraordinary achievements of people, projects, and institutions and their contribution to the inclusive growth of the nation. The awards are independently instituted and conferred by the SKOCH Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.

The first SKOCH award was conferred on 2003 in recognition of the best efforts in the field of digital, social, and financial inclusion. They encompass the best of governance, consider educational excellence, capacity building, empowerment, and other soft issues. The Challenger awards are widely acclaimed for their primary research, independence, and an approach based on distinguished jury.

Corporation Bank has been consistently receiving awards from reputed organizations such as IBA, IDRBT, SKOCH, and others in recognition of its excellent implementation of technology, customer care, and so on from several years.
