Congress celebrate Rahul’s birthday with the poor

Mangalore, June 20: The DK Congress celebrated the 40th birthday of Rahul Gandhi, its youth icon, in a grand and unique way by visiting the local destitute home and treating the inmates to a lavish meal and presents. 

Ivan D’Souza, leader of the youth Congress and senior vice president of DK Congress, inaugurated the event and urged young Congressmen to follow the ideals of Rahul Gandhi. 

Congress workers such as former Mayor Mr. K. Asraf, Naveen D’Souza, Ibrahim Kodijal, Mohammed Baddruddin, Jagannath Shetty Bondala, Sudhir, and Mahabala Marla participated in the event. 

Later, the Congress workers visited Wenlock Hospital and distributed fruits to the patients, after which they visited the Sanidhya School for Destitute Children and distributed sweets, dress material, books, and stationary.
