Cartoonist expresses thoughts amidst working session

Kundapur, Nov 26, 2019:   Cartoons always in print and social media help one to understand the complicated  prevailing political situations in the country, Badal Nanjudaswamy, artist with ‘Street Art’, said.

“Instead of using words, a cartoonist, through the strokes of his brush, expresses his thoughts.” He was speaking at ‘Master Stroke’ programme, organised as part of ‘Cartoonu Habba’, at the Government PU College Hall in Kundapur recently.

Senior cartoonist Surendra urged students to develop interest in drawing cartoons. He said his cartoons on telegram, BPL, Coalgate scam and development of BJP in Kerala had won him a lot of appreciation.

Cartoonists Nanjundaswamy and Dattatri M N also were felicitated at the programme. In memory of Maya Kamath, cartoon competitions were organised for school and college students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. Students up to fifth standard and from sixth standard till pre-university  had to draw on the theme, ‘Gandhi 150, Ishwar Allah Tero Naam’.
