Boy stabs girl for refusing love

Mangalore, Jan 10: In an incident that took place in Edya Village near Jarandhaya Daivasthana, a boy stabbed a girl for rejecting his love and fled from the scene. 

The accused is Bharath alias Damu alias Damodar, who had been unsuccessfully courting a girl who was studying in a college in Panambur.

On the evening of Jan 7, Thursday, irked by her repeated refusal of his offer, Bharath lay in wait for her. He waylaid her when she was making her way back home from college and stabbed her hands and forehead. 

The girl is currently recovering in a private hospital. A case has been registered at the Suratkal Police Station.
