Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2018 : Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru since its inception in 1947 has been striving for the upliftment of the masses and rejuvenation of culture and spirituality through multifarious activities. Foe the last 7 decades, all its activities  enabled the institution to carve a niche of its own in the spiritual, cultural history of the region.


“Bhavasangama” is 3 days’ Residential Devotees’ State Convention on the occasion of  completion of 125 years of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World Parliament of  Religions at Chicago. To commemorate this event, the theme of the convention has been coined as   “Harmony & Acceptance” to reflect the catholicity of the Sanatana Dharma that was represented by  Swamiji on the World platform.


In the 3 days’ programme, nearly 20 monks and more than 50 scholars will be sharing their views and ideas on Harmony & acceptance as reflected in the light of life and message of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sharadadevi and  Swami Vivekananda and scriptures. These  sessions will be interspersed with Bhajans, meditation, Tala-Maddale, Ashtavadhana, Bhaktiganamrita, Magic show and several other cultural programmes.  The Programme will be inaugurated at 10 am on the 26 th January by Swami Tyaganandaji, Head,  Vedanta Society of Boston, USA in the Ashrama auditorium in the divine presence of Swami  Nityasthanandaji, senior resident monk of Mysore Ramakrishna Ashrama. Swami Jitakamanandaji  will be delivering the keynote address. Many monks from different parts of Karnataka will be present  during the event.


Valedictory session of the programme will be held on 28 th January at 2 pm. Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt will be presiding over the programme. Dr. N Vinay Hegde,  Captain  Ganesh Karnik will be guests of honour.  Interested delegates from all over Karnataka are participating in the programme. Nearly 600  delegates have already registered their names and about 400 delegates from outside are being  provided with accommodation.
