Bangalore girl allegedly raped in Mangalore

Mangalore, Nov 23: Nineteen-year-old Nasira Banu, employed at a garment shop in Bangalore, has lodged a complaint against 3 young men for allegedly kidnapping her and raping her in a house in Mangalore. 

The complaint stated that Nasira’s friend Pooja, who works in the same establishment, invited her to her house in Shimoga. After spending 5 days in Shimoga, Pooja allegedly invited Nasira to accompany her and her 3 male friends, Vijay, Guru, and Ramu, to Hubli. All 5 left to Hubli on Nov 18. On the way, Pooja got off the car to recharge her mobile. The other four continued on their way because Pooja did not return. 

Nasira stated in her complaint that she realized they were not going to Hubli only after they reached Mangalore. The 4 stayed at a house in Mangalore. On Nov 22, Sunday, Nasira escaped and went to the police station.

The police arrested the 3 and filed a case of kidnap and rape against them. 

However, reliable police sources reveal that the case is not fully understood owing to several missing links. Only complete investigation can reveal the truth about Nasira’s allegations. 

A team of policemen has already gone to Shimoga; and the case is currently being investigated.
